Registration Deadlines & Information for WFDF AOUC2007

Kaohsiung City, Taiwan and the Chinese Taipei Flying Disc Assocation are underway with planning for the 1st WFDF Asia-Oceanic regional ultimate championship to be held from December 7-9, 2007. Interested Mixed Division teams should contact Michael Hu for a registration form and roster sheet if you have not already received it by email. The Team Fee of $200 USD is due as a deposit by November 1, 2007. Player Fees ($80 USD/player) are due by November 15, 2007. Kaohsiung City, Taiwan set to host the WFDF Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships in 2007

The WFDF Board of Directors is pleased to announce the approval of the bid submitted by Michael Hu on behalf of the Chinese Taipei Flying Disc Association to host the first WFDF Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships. The event will be hosted in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan from December 7-9, 2007 and will be a mixed division competition. Further information will be forwarded to countries within the Asia-Oceanic region.

Mexico set to host 2nd Pan American Ultimate Club Championship

Asociación Mexicana de Disco Volador A.C. (Mexican Flying Disc Association) has been selected to host the 2007 WFDF Pan American Ultimate Club Championship (PAUCC) in Mexico from August 6 to August 12, 2007. The event will take place at Zumpango´s Sports Center located 45 minutes from Mexico City's International Airport. This will be the second edition of the Pan-American regional tournament, the first being held in 2005 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This event is part of WFDF's strategy of hosting Regional Championship events in years where WUCC or WUGC do not occur.

2007 WFDF Rules of Ultimate Announced

The new WFDF Rules of Ultimate (Version 2007) is finally completed and approved! It will be effective on April 1, 2007 for all WFDF sanctioned tournaments. We would like to ask all our members to implement these rules as quickly as possible.

WFDF 2007 Rules of Ultimate draft available for comment

A draft version of the WFDF 2007 Rules of Ultimate is available for comment. We have set up a forum at http://groups.google.com/group/wfdf-2007-rules for public comment. It is not expected that major changes will make it into the 2007 version at this late stage, but all comments will be taken into account when drafting the 2008 version. The 2007 rules are expected to be approved for release early in the new year. more

Japanese teams triumph in successful WUCC 2006

Tournament Director Brian Vanallen and his team put together a wonderful World Ultimate Club Championship event in Perth. The big winners on the field were the Japanese clubs, who took home all the medals in the women's division and the open and masters gold. Read more on the WUCC website. more
