Latest News6 October 2007 Women's Guts Teams Encouraged to Register for WFDF WUGC2008The WFDF Guts Committee is strongly encouraging participation of Women's Guts Teams in the World Ultimate & Guts Championships to be held in Vancouver, BC, August 2-9, 2008. Representation from four different countries is required to hold the division. To help entice less experienced teams to try Guts, the Japanese women's team will be offering technical coaching to other other countries in an effort to futher develop women's Guts. Interested womens teams or individuals, should contact their national governing association to determine the method of team selection and to help help communicate this message to all disc sport players in their country. more 3 July 2007 50th Anniversary of International Frisbee TournamentJune 30 - July 2, 2007 marked the 50th anniversary of the International Frisbee Tournament (IFT), this year held in Hancock, Michigan. This summer's tournament had an air of history surrounding it before it began, however, the most notable mark making the history books was the 1st ever win by a non-American team, with the Japanese taking home the gold and silver medals, with the coveted Nachazel Trophy leaving the USA. more 31 January 2006 Vancouver to host WUGC2008The World Flying Disc Federation announced today that Vancouver, Canada has been selected to host the WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships on August 2-9, 2008. More than one hundred teams from over 30 nations will gather to compete for the world title in at least six divisions of play.. more 30 June 2005 New Guts Hall of Fame inductees announcedThe United States Guts Players Association has announced that five new members will be inducted into the International Frisbee Hall of Fame during festivities associated with the 48th International Frisbee Tournament (IFT) in Houghton, Michigan. more 8 August 2004 Canada, USA dominant at World Ultimate Championships76 teams from 27 countries converged in Turku Finland from August 1 - 7 for an exciting week of Ultimate and Guts competition. In Ultimate, the US and Canada faced each other in all of the finals except Women's where Canada played the host team Finland. Canada was victorious in that game, and the Canadian Open and Junior Women's teams also took gold medals. US teams won the Mixed, Masters, and Junior Open divisions.
