Attached is the proposed revision to the Bylaws of WFDF prepared by the WFDF Bylaws Revision Task Force. We encourage all WFDF members to review this draft as we will seek your approval of it at Congress in Vancouver to replace the current version of the Bylaws, which went into effect in 2001.

The main issues this Bylaws revision project attempted to address were:

  1. Ambiguity of WFDF Member definition and conflicts between national members and discipline specific members in a country;
  2. Lack of clarity with regard to disc discipline definition and sanctioned events;
  3. Lack of relationship between number of players represented by Member organizations, voting power, and dues;
  4. Perceived need to tie voting on play related issues for a specific discipline to players representing that discipline;
  5. Further provisions for electronic communication and voting and for voting outside of Congress; and
  6. Various other administrative clean-up issues.

Members of the task force were:

  • Robert “Nob” Rauch (chair)
  • Thomas Griesbaum (Germany)
  • Sandie Hammerly (UPA)
  • Simon Hill (UK)
  • Juha Jalovaara (Finland)
  • Brian Murphy (legal counsel)

Please feel free to direct any questions on this draft to the attention of the undersigned prior to Congress.

Robert “Nob” Rauch
Chair, WFDF Bylaws Revision Task Force
