To be eligible, a candidate must be a participant in the current WUGC or have participated in a World Championship within the previous four years. The purpose of the WFDF Athletes Commission is to promote open communication with, and solicit feedback from, flying disc athletes, and give them a formal role in the decision-making process of WFDF.
“I am extremely excited that we have interest from such high quality candidates possessing significant experience in Ultimate.  The enthusiastic response from WFDF’s Members was larger than we expected,” stated WFDF President Nob Rauch. “As a player-oriented sport, we remain fully committed that the viewpoint of the athletes should always be our primary focus.”
The Commission will consist of three members, comprised of a Chair and two ordinary members, with at least one representative of each gender. The term of office for Commission members will be two years.  Elections will be held every two years during the World Ultimate Championship or World Ultimate Club Championship, with all athletes participating in the event given one vote.
